Today we will demonstrate how to change and charge your ViewTech VJ-3 video borescope battery. The ViewTech VJ-3 video borescope can be charged with either the provided external lithium-ion battery charger or with the built-in battery charger. To charge the battery externally, first – – – remove the folding wingnuts located at the top and bottom of your video borescope. After separating the base unit from your video borescope stand, you are now able to remove your battery compartment like so. After opening the battery compartment, replace the battery with a fully charged battery and return to your video borescope. Be sure to charge the depleted battery that was just removed with the ViewTech lithium-ion battery charger. You can also use the built-in battery charger by connecting the micro USB cable to your computer or to the included AC power adapter.

Please Note: your ViewTech VJ-3 video borescope uses only 3.6-volt lithium-ion batteries, model 18650B with PCB-protection and a button top – like this.
It is suggested that if you do not plan on using your borescope for more than 30 days, that you remove the battery from the compartment and store it inside your ViewTech case.
